2001: A menu of medieval entertainment

 

Morris Dancers ringing and stomping, basket weavers, potters and lacemakers practising their craft,  archers showing off their skills as a busy crowd jostled through  the medieval market – Kirkby Stephen’s first charter fair was a busy two-day romp back to the middle ages, complete with  jugglers, musicians, wrestlers and street theatre.
