The Town Council election was uncontested on 7th May.  The following people stood for the Council and were elected unopposed, Alex Birtles, Joan Johnstone, Glenys Lumley, Paul Richardson, Judy Sowerby, Dorothy Thornton and Mike Walker. 

There are two vacant seats which are to be filled by co-option at the 2nd June Meeting.

Applicants must appear on the current register of voters, the applicant, must during the whole of the twelve months preceding the election, have resided in or within three miles of the parish or the applicant's only place of work must have been in the parish.  Town Councillors must complete a Declaration of Acceptance of Office, a Register of Interests form and agree to observe the Town Council's Code of Conduct.

To apply, please send a letter to the Clerk telling the Council about yourself and your reason for wishing to become a Councillor.  You may be invited to an interview with Councillors and the Town Council will consider the co-option to the vacancy:
