New for 2009 www.mountainbikeskills.co.uk is extending its programme to include skills days at a more leisurely pace!  If you are a group of friends on holiday, a family or couple and want to enjoy the best mountain bike trails around the Howgills without the hassle, then these days out are for you.
The Guided Rides are more about enjoying the trails and a great day out.  We take in the best bridleways around the Eden Valley with picnics and great scenery all thrown in.
Your professional mountain bike instructor will look after the navigation and bike maintenance while you enjoy the views and fresh air.  Rides can be tailored to your level and fitness providing the perfect day out.

Stonetrail Mountain Bike Hire
Enjoy the freedom of exploring our great outdoors under your own steam with one of our Trek quality mountain bikes. We offer a perfect day out for groups. Situated at the foot of Wild Boar fell and the Pennine Bridleway midway between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, We have immediate access to some fabulous tracks and trails with routes to suit all abilities. Our front suspension Trek mountain bikes are suitable for both on and off road routes and we can supply you with a choice of routes and advice on where to ride.  We have plenty of parking and our bike hire price includes a helmet and complimentary tea and cakes on your return in our private riders lounge.
We follow the cyclists touring club bike hire code to ensure you have a comfortable and safe ride and we inspect and maintain our bikes after each ride. Our opening times are 9am - 6pm. We have a small fleet of bikes and therefore advance booking is recommended particularly at the weekend.
