We are a family run working hill farm set in peaceful countryside next to the Howgill Fells. From the farm you can walk out onto open fells, and the Pennines, Lakes and Yorkshire Dales are all within easy reach. Situated just 5 miles from Junction 38 of the M6 Motorway, we have easy access to the many attractions this area has to offer.

Within 2 miles of Stable Cottage you will find fishing, golf, tennis, 2 public houses with excellent menus, churches and open access to the miles of fells surrounding us. 

Bents Camping Barn

Bents Camping Barn was formerly a shepherd's cottage in 1600.  You will need sleeping bags, walking boots and warm clothes.  There are two sleeping rooms with bunks.   On the ground floor there is a kitchen cooking area, dining room with tables and benches and WC with washbasins.

Self catering accommodation in the Eden Valley, sleeps 4.  Snowdrop Cottage is a traditional Cumbrian Hay Barn converted to provide comfortable, modern holiday accommodation for 4 (1 twin, 1 double).  Accessed by a single track lane about 1 mile from the village of Ravenstonedale.  It is unusual as it has a first floor balcony allowing great views of the surrounding countryside.  Pets are welcome with the local fells being accessed from the doorstep.  Local activities nearby include walking in the Howgills, fishing, golf, horse riding, tennis, mountain biking and bird watching.  Pub with restaurant in the village
( a 15 minute walk).  Ravenstonedale is approx 4 miles from Kirkby Stephen.
