Gillian and Martin Wainhouse ensure a warm and friendly welcome and a memorable stay for all their guests at Stouphill Gate.  In a glorious setting with spectacular views situated in open countryside near the charming conservation village of Ravenstonedale, described by the noted A Wainwright as one of Westmorland's loveliest villages, the traditional Cumbrian farmhouse offers easy access to the Howgill Fells and the National Parks of the Lakes & Dales, and is only a few miles away from the market town of Kirkby Stephen. 

Stouphill Gate Cottage is the original 18th century farmhouse which has been carefully brought up to date whilst retaining all the best features of the original.  These include the original bread oven and adjacent cooking fire place, although this now houses a coal/log burning cast iron heating stove giving a warm welcome to visitors and cosy glow to the lounge.  Steep old stone steps lead up to the two bedrooms.  The kitchen and bathroom though are right up to date with modern fittings... 

It is however the views through the windows which make this property so special.
