6 September - 91st Moorcock Show 

The Moorcock Show is one of the leading sheep shows in the Yorkshire Dales, and attracts farmers and breeders from the surrounding dales. Visitors will be able to watch the judging of various classes and breeds of sheep, including Swaledales and Roughs, as well has having the opportunity to do some judging themselves.

In addition visitors will be able to join in with Children’s entertainment and following their success in previous years, there will be a number of craft specialists and an exhibition by local businesses and food producers.  There will also be an exhibition of local historical photographs, and the usual vintage tractor display.  Refreshments will also be available with delicious afternoon teas which will be enjoyed by all. 

The Moorcock Show promises a good day for everyone, and will start at 12.00 noon on Saturday 6 September 2008 at Mossdale, between Hawes and Sedbergh on the A684.
