Town Forum News and Events

The Town Forum is currently involved in various projects and events:

• Classic Commercial Vehicle Rally  -  22 - 23 March 2008 (Easter weekend).
  The Town Forum will have a stall displaying information about some of the many activities we have undertaken recently.  Following on from last year's successes, Kirkby Stephen in Bloom will be sharing the stall and inviting volunteers to help with this year's entries in any capacity.
• Appleby and Kirkby Stephen - We are working with our neighbours in the hope of future mutually beneficial joint projects and friendly co-operation.
• Heritage Open Days - We are looking at the possibility of taking part this September with the aim of attracting more visitors and celebrating our heritage.  There is currently an investigation into 'Tunnels of Kirkby Stephen' - any information fact or fiction is needed.
• Charter Fair - Last year's successful St Luke's Fair will be repeated in October.  Have to think of some new attractions...
• Christmas Fair - We are looking at new ideas for Christmas 2008.  Suggestions welcome.
