Voluntary Car Scheme

Funded by Westmorland and Furness Council, this scheme provides transport to members of the community of any age (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult) who cannot make their journey by public or private transport. Journeys may be hospital and dental appointments, or social visits and shopping.

Passengers pay a contribution to the cost and if 2 or more people travel then the fare is shared between them. For more information or to make a booking call the volunteer co-ordinator for the Kirkby Stephen area Sarah Kirkup on 07789 775643.
