Classic Commercial Vehicles exhibited, a regular classic bus route between sites and from the station, market stalls, Saturday evening road run through the Westmorland Dales, entertainment for all the family.

Tuesday 3rd April - Easter Family Stomp - Jubilee Park, Kirkby Stephen

Join us at our Easter Family Stomp, two hours of Woodland Fun in Jubilee Park.  With woodland crafts, slacklines, den buiding, mud kitchens and more, children and grown-ups of all ages are welcome to come and play out in the woods.

Thursday 5th April - Kirkby Stephen & District Walkers Are Welcome - Dawdles Walk Stenkrith Park

Meet the Cloisters 10.30am.

Weather permitting we will walk down Bollam Lane and across the fields to Stenkrith Park and see if we can find some red squirrels, black rabbits and heron along the way.  The highlight of the walk is the Millenium Bridge and Stenkrith Gorge, Coup Karnan.  Boots please.  Optional refreshments in Kirkby Stephen.

Following the success of the Upper Eden Memory Club at Kirkby Stephen we have decided to start a second group in Brough to enable us to continue to accept Clients and Carers into our Kirkby Stephen family. We enjoy fellowship over tea and coffee followed by guided activities and usually end with singing some favourite songs of old.

Our guest speaker Trish Mansbridge will talk on red squirrel conservation.  Outlining the plight of red squirrels, giving a brief history, distribution, facts, explaining who and what is involved with their conservation and what else can be done.

Monday 9th April -  Cumbria Wildlife Trust - `Bats of Cumbria' - The Friends Meeting House, Kirkby Stephen

7.30 - 9.30pm

Rich Flight, from the South Cumbria Bat Group, will give a talk on the nocturnal world of bats.  Cumbria is home to a host of these mammals whose lives are as fascinating as they are secretive.

The CWT Upper Eden Support Group runs a variety of activities to support the Trust's work.  Everyone is welcome to join us for our talks,  which take place at The Friends Meeting House, 48A High St, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4SH.

Organisations and the general public are welcome to come along to find out more about how the landscape has been shaped over time and the area's rich natural and cultural heritage.  Find out what preliminary studies into geology and archaelogy have revealed, and our plans to discover, conserve and restore the area's heritage during the scheme's 4 year delivery stage from 2019 to 2023.
