Saturday 1st August – Eden Animal Rescue Stall – The Cloisters, Kirkby Stephen
9 am to 1.00 pm. Gill and Barbara invite you to their stall in aid of Eden Animal Rescue. We – have a selection of organic jams made from fruit from our own gardens – strawberry, gooseberry, blackcurrant, rhubarb and ginger. Also the usual tangy marmalade, chutney, plum relish and piccalilli. We have a wonderful selection of homemade baking – quiches, biscuits made with butter, gingerbread, banana and sultana loaf, date and walnut cake, scones and Victoria sponge cakes.

Saturday 1st August – Kirkby Stephen Craft and Food Producers Market – Masonic Hall and Silver Street Gardens
9 am to 1 pm. A variety of local produce stalls including food, jams,a plants and crafts. Come along and support your local businesses.
Thursday 6th August – BEE UNIQUE SEND Event – The Hive
4 pm to 5 pm. A session suitable for ALL ages and adults are allowed to use the play equipment alongside your children! You do not need an official diagnosis to attend and as always, siblings and family members are welcome to book on.
Subsidized by BEE UNIQUE, the session costs £4 and accompanying parents/carers are free. A friendly, inclusive environment, spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment on https://bookwhen.com/beeunique
Tuesday 11th August – Volunteering event – cleaning poetry path stones – Meet at Stenkrith Park

Friday 14th August – Kirkby Stephen Hearing Services – Kirkby Stephen Local Links
10 am to 12 noon. Kirkby Stephen Hearing Services run their clinics for anyone needing repairs or servicing to their hearing aids, here at the Local Links on the 2nd Friday of each month. This service is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – please ring 07724132277.
Hearing aid batteries can be provided here at Local Links, free of charge, if you are registered at a doctors in Eden. Our opening hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am to 12 noon, and 1 pm to 3 pm. Please bring details of the battery size you require.
Friday 14th August – Quiz Night – Loki Centre at The King’s Arms
Bar opens 7 pm. quiz starts 7.30 pm. £5 per person, maximum of 6 per team. Includes cheese from Appleby bakery and there will be a raffle. For tickets and more information contact [email protected]
Saturday 15th August – Brough Farmers and Makers Market – Brough Memorial Hall
9 am to 12 noon. With extra stallholders for 2026 and a special stall holder guest appearance every month, we cannot wait to support local people and local businesses. All we need now is you!

Saturday 15th August – Vicarage Garden Party – The Vicarage
1 pm to 3 pm. Open to everyone within the Benefice, please do come along – it’s a great chance to meet and chat with members of the church whilst enjoying delicious homemade cakes and treats. If the weather is wet, the `party’ will take place in the church.
Monday 17th August – Tech Help Drop in Session – Ravenstonedale Community and Heritage Centre
10.30 to 12.30 Friendly and informal tech support – just drop in. Held the 3rd Monday of every month. We can help with setting up and using mobile phones, tablets and laptops, how to do everyday tasks on your devices, advice and troubleshooting for common problems. We can also help with fault diagnosis but no repairs.

12 pm onwards Family Fun Day. Crazy Golf, 1 pm Senior Touch Rugby, 3 pm kids sports day. BBQ all Day. 7 pm – The Seals, includes 1 Ale or 1 Gin.
Sunday 30th August – Musgrave Summer Show – Musgrave Parish Institute
