Saturday 6th August – Charity Rounders Event – Upper Eden Rugby Union Football Club, Kirkby Stephen

Charity Rounders Festival.  Pitch up with friends and family for a day of fun and help raise money for Upper Eden RUFC and the Great North Air Ambulance Service.  6-10 people per team or register yourself and we’ll find a team for you.

BBQ, Cake Sale, Bar, Raffle, Live Music from Graham Potter and The Moonshine Shakers… with still more to confirm!!! Registration from 12 noon, first bowl 1 pm

Saturday 6th August – Sedbergh Evironmental Market – St Andrew’s Church, Sedbergh
10 am to 3 pm.  A free market with a wonderful selection of eco stallholders providing information on protecting the environment and selling natural and sustainable products, recycled and upcycled arts & crafts and delicious eco-friendly foods!  Hosted by the Sedbergh Environmental Network

Tuesday 9th August – Eden Hearing Services – Kirkby Stephen Local Links

10 am to 12 noon. Eden Hearing Services run their clinics for anyone needing repairs or servicing to their hearing aids, here at the Local Links on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  This service is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – please ring Robert Bolton on 07846 512366.  Hearing aid batteries can be provided here at Local Links, free of charge, if you are registered at a doctors in Eden.  Our opening hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am to 12 noon, and 1 pm to 3 pm. Please bring details of the battery size you require.

Saturday 13th August – Eden Animal Rescue Fundraising Stall – The Cloisters, Kirkby Stephen

We are selling our usual home-made preserves, marmalade, picalilli and chutney, plus some seasonal jams when available.  We also do home baking.  Gill and Barbara look forward to see you all again soon and thank you for your continued support, which is very much appreciated, especially in these difficult times.  The stall will be open from 9.00am til 1.30 pm.

Sunday 28th August – Musgrave Annual Show – Great Musgrave

Open to anyone living within 5 miles of Great Musgrave.  There are classes to suit everyone, children’s classes, fruit and veg, crafts, photos, art, flowers, pets, preserves and produce.  Refreshments will be available and games such as `Bat a Rat’, tin can alley, tombola and others to keep everyone entertained.  Schedules will be available in local shops in July.
