Brough Memory Club has now relaunched as the Thursday People meeting at Brough Methodist Chuch again on alternate Thursdays.  This group is now for all who want to come together for a chat over tea/coffee with optional activities or crafts.

Sunday 7th June – ‘The Yomp’ – Mountain Challenge – Kirkby Stephen

Sunday 7th June – Steps Up Strawberry Tea – Kirkby Stephen Sports and Social Club

Join us at Kirkby Club for an afternoon tea to raise funds for KSCA Steps Up 2020 – our forthcoming theatrical production with young people from local schools.  If the weather is kind, we’ll be out in the garden enjoying sunshine and, either way, there will be a kids corner to entertain the little ones.

£5 ticket includes scone with jam and cream plus unlimited tea
£7 ticket includes the above plus a glass of fizz

We continue to meet alternate Thursdays at KIrkby Stephen Methodist Church (opposite the Spar Shop), where we enjoy fellowship over tea and coffee followed by guided activities and usually end with singing some favourite songs of old.

A thoroughly enjoyable auto racing romp that brings to life the more personal and overlooked side of one the most famous feats in motor sport.

Tuesday 18th June – Eden Hearing Services Drop In Session – Kirkby Stephen Local Links

Eden Hearing Services hold a drop in clinic from 10.00am to 12 noon 3rd Tuesday of every month.  Services include advice on hearing aids and specialist equipment, hearing aids cleaned and retubed, batteries supplied.

Friday 19th June – Kirkby Stephen Community Arts presents ‘Knives Out’  (12A) – Kirkby Stephen Sports and Social Club

A mystery is evolving at the Thrombrey residence as wealthy family patriarch (Christopher Plummer) celebrates his 85th birthday surrounded by his estranged family, brought together just for the big day.  While socialising merrily, however, all the guests and house staff are quickly made aware of some troubling news.   Learning of the shocking and sudden death of the elderly Harlan, all are equally horrified by the confusing turn of events, and equally baffled as to who the culprit is.  Sent to uncover the grizzly truth behind the puzzling murder, keen-eyed Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), with help from detectives Trooper Wagner (Noah Segan) and Troy Archer (LaKeith Stanfield), begins to work his way through the dysfunctional family, ruling nobody out.  Anyone could have committed this foul atrocity, and everyone is a suspect!
