Saturday 5th June – Eden Animal Rescue Fundraising Stall – The Cloisters, Kirkby Stephen

We are selling our usual home-made products. A variety of home baking and preserves.  Gill and Barbara look forward to seeing you all again soon and thank you for your continued support, which is very much appreciated, especially in these difficult times.  The stall will be open from 9.00 am til 1.00 pm.

Thursdays 8th & 22nd June – Upper Eden Memory Club – Kirkby Stephen Methodist Church

10.30 am to 12 noon.

We continue to meet alternate Thursdays at KIrkby Stephen Methodist Church (opposite the Spar Shop), where we enjoy fellowship over tea and coffee followed by guided activities and usually end with singing some favourite songs of old. For people with memory problems , who are disabled or who are lonely.  Enjoy time with friends.  Also offering help and support for carers. No need to book, just turn up.  Do you know of anyone who may benefit?

Friday 9th June – Kirkby Stephen Hearing Services (by Upper Eden Rotary Club) – Kirkby Stephen Local Links

10 am to 12 noon. Kirkby Stephen Hearing Services run their clinics for anyone needing repairs or servicing to their hearing aids, here at the Local Links on the 2nd Friday of each month.  This service is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – please ring 07724 132277.

Hearing aid batteries can be provided here at Local Links, free of charge, if you are registered at a doctors in Eden.  Our opening hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am to 12 noon, and 1 pm to 3 pm. Please bring details of the battery size you require.

A comedy whodunnit with an all star cast.

Friday 16th June  – Kirkby Stephen Community Arts Remote Cinema presents – `Dream Horse’ (PG) – Kirkby Stephen Sports and Social Club

Dream Alliance is an unlikely race horse bred by a small-town Welsh bartender.  With no experience, she convinces her neighbours to chip in their meagre earnings to help raise Dream in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites.

Friday 16th June – Lunesdale Foxhounds `George Perfect Show’ – Upper Eden Rugby Club
6pm start. Terriers, Lurchers and Sticks.   BBQ, Bar and Raffle. £5 entry, kids free.
Friday 16th June – Prize Bingo – Winton Village Hall
Eyes down 7 pm.  Great prizes, raffle, refreshments, cake stall, children’s game.
Saturday 17th June – Coffee Morning – Brough Methodist Church
in the Chapel schoolroom 10 am to 11.30 am.  Come and meet friends old and new and enjoy a free coffee/tea and biscuits.  It’s good to talk….Raising funds for the brain tumour charity.

Saturday 17th June – Coffee Morning – Warcop Parish Hall

10 to 11.30 am.  Tea or coffee (including free refill) and biscuits for £1.50, plus bacon rolls, with vegetarian alternatives, and scones for purchase.  Come along for a good old chat!  Everyone welcome!

Friday 23rd June – Prize Bingo – Warcop Parish Hall

7.30 pm.  £1 per book includes refreshments.  Raffle, free game for children during interval.  Donations for prizes and hamper items will be much appreciated and can left at the cafe on Thursday mornings.  Thank you.

Saturday 24th June – Vicarage Tea – The Vicarage, Kirkby Stephen

2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.  Suzannah and Brendan warmly invite you to the Vicarage for a cup of tea and slice of cake.  Please pop in anytime, it would be lovely to see you.

10 am to 4 pm.  £15 per person.  Come along and learn to make an item of your choice.  Please bring easy or very easy paper pattern, fabric, cotton thread, sharp scissors, scissors for cutting paper, pins, un-picker, french chalk and sewing machine (if you have one) and a packed lunch.  Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.  Call Jan on 07876 508027 to reserve your place.
