Thursdays 2nd, 16th & 30th May – Upper Eden Memory Club – Kirkby Stephen Methodist Church

10.30am to 12 noon.

We continue to meet alternate Thursdays at KIrkby Stephen Methodist Church (opposite the Spar Shop), where we enjoy fellowship over tea and coffee followed by guided activities and usually end with singing some favourite songs of old.

Wednesday 8th May – The Arts Society Appleby in Westmorland present ‘The Queen of Instruments: The Lute within Old Master Paintings’ (with music) – Appleby Market Hall

Thursdays 9th & 23rd May – Thursday People – Brough Methodist Church

10.30am to 12 noon.

Brough Memory Club has now relaunched as the Thursday People meeting at Brough Methodist Chuch again on alternate Thursdays.  This group is now for all who want to come together for a chat over tea/coffee with optional activities or crafts.

Saturday 18th May – Kirkby Stephen Community Gala Day – Church grounds, cricket pitch, King’s Arms, Masonic Hall

Parade of floats, 10ft slide, craft fair, abseil from Clock Tower, cake stall, Its a Knockout, bouncy castle, bouncy assault course, table top sale, disco, food vendors, demos and performances “Spotlight on Kirkby Stephen”, BBQ/Refreshments and more………

Sunday 19th May – KSJFC Family Football 5 A Side Tournament – Parrot Park, Kirkby Stephen

11.00am.  We are hosting a 5 a side family football tournament.  Each team must have 2 adults and 3 children (children up to age of 15) 1 female must be on the pitch at all times.  £10 per team, please message your coach.  Payment taken in advance to secure your entry.  A fun day out for all the family raising funds for Junior Football Club.  Refreshments available.

Tuesday 21st May – Eden Hearing Services Drop In Session – Kirkby Stephen Local Links

Eden Hearing Services hold a drop in clinic from 10.00am to 12 noon 3rd Tuesday of every month.  Services include advice on hearing aids and specialist equipment, hearing aids cleaned and retubed, batteries supplied.
